Who am I?

I am a 14 2 Gypsy Gelding and I've moved from the Scottish stud farm to live in Fermangh (Northern Ireland) with some new animal friends.

We are all cared for by some Two-legs. These are the people we love and who love us back...with hay and apples...and carrots...and grapes...and mints!

The Whaa's new Spring joke

Yellow everywhere!
The Whaa's new joke: "What is yellow and swings from cake to cake ?"
(Brace yourself!) ..."Tarzipan"!   (BAD)Yellow jokes.  Yellow Sun. Yellow flowers. Even the birds are turning yellow.

The Wagtail
The yellow wagtail is a small graceful yellow and green bird, with a medium-length tail, and slender black legs. It spends much time walking or running on the ground. As its name implies, it wags its tail from time to time. It is a summer visitor, migrating to winter in Africa. It has been in decline since at least the 1980s, most likely due to loss of habitat for breeding and feeding, making it an Red List species.

Yellow Hammer:
Males are unmistakeable with a bright yellow head and underparts, brown back streaked with black, and chestnut rump. In flight it shows white outer tail feathers. Often seen perched on top of a hedge or bush, singing. Its recent population decline make it a Red List species.

Rain, rain go away!

Not a good photo', it's the only one Flint has.
It seems I may have been a little previous with the weather change/improvement.
"No Grass" (Winter) has returned with a vengeance.  I had actually seen a butterfly last week.  In fact, the wee thing nearly got eaten by mistake! ( I really should look where I'm eating!).  It is raining and it is windy.  Not a combination I am particularly fond of. At least the grass has improved. TASTY!

The little ponies in the next field have been having a great time, pretending that the wind is a vicious beastie.  They were charging around this morning, with their hooves in the air and chasing one another.  Audrey has become particularly fond of the dainty young mare, Misty. They've been chatting all afternoon, mainly about Audrey's sore hoof.

There's another bonny little lassie in the neighbouring paddock.  Crabby is out with her new foal.  She's a fine filly with a sweet nature.  Crabby is a wonderful mother and is really rather pleasant company these days.  If she has apologised once, she has apologised a million times about biting me and tearing my rug (practically off my back) last month.  Maybe "Green Grass" (Summer) isn't too far off. New life in one paddock, and youth in the other.  There's fresh new grass growing up from the soil and I've just spotted a few Yellowhammers (birds) fluttering about down by the river. Is that the sun coming out?!...
