Who am I?

I am a 14 2 Gypsy Gelding and I've moved from the Scottish stud farm to live in Fermangh (Northern Ireland) with some new animal friends.

We are all cared for by some Two-legs. These are the people we love and who love us back...with hay and apples...and carrots...and grapes...and mints!

Green Grass

Flint
It has been a real taste of "Green Grass" (Summer) today.  The sun felt warm on my back.  The field was full of crows, who in turn were full of news about new-borns.  There's a new foal here too.  It's Crabby's, and Crabby isn't crabby anymore.  She apologised last week.  She didn't like being in-foal, but is now delighted that she has a new-born to mother.

Taffy and I had a lovely hack out this afternoon. Both of our "Two-legs" were up for an adventure so we trod on new ground, so to speak.  We got to splash about in the Medwyn (River) and trotted on by Mill Ridge.  Usually we turn back at the little white house at the end of the lane.  There had been an unfortunate incident with the pond and garden there last year!  I  had vowed that I would never return.  However, it was time to be a brave boy and venture forth into the forest.  Well ,Taffy had shown great valour passing the flapping things earlier, so I had to prove that I could be brave too...when required.

Apparently the forest is used to grow trees and it's true, there's not much else growing in it.  There's black plastic stuff, under the top layer of soil, poking out all over the place. I didn't like the look of it.  Two-legs says it's to stop the grass and weeds growing through, but without grass and salad there's no lunch on offer and if there's no lunch on offer a poor Gypsy Cob and his friend might starve to death!  Not any wonder I was spooked by that nasty black stuff!
