Who am I?

I am a 14 2 Gypsy Gelding and I've moved from the Scottish stud farm to live in Fermangh (Northern Ireland) with some new animal friends.

We are all cared for by some Two-legs. These are the people we love and who love us back...with hay and apples...and carrots...and grapes...and mints!

A Dirty Trick!

Cute? Kola.
I'm no Snow-white. I am indeed too fond of plundering through the wild raspberry and blackberry hedges here, (and rolling in my dust-bath!), however Snow-white and I do have something in common. We have both been foolish enough to accept a shiny red (poisoned) apple.

Yesterday I was lulled into a false sense of security with the first offering. A tart Granny Smith I believe, however the second had a vile taste to it. It had been laced with that foul tasting worming treatment that Two-legs sneaks into my mouth when I am not looking! It's a dirty trick when a treat becomes an attack on one's taste-buds! I wasn't so quick to munch on the third apple. Two-legs had became the enemy. She then added insult to injury when she laughed and called me silly. I flattened my ears in protest and flashed her the meanest face I could muster. Becoming very wise very quickly, I insisted that she took the first bite of this third suspect apple. She did so gleefully and them passed it on to that greedy blighter, Kola. Dirty tricks followed by the brazen theft of one's meagre provisions... by a donkey!!! Forgive the excessive use of exclamation marks, but this day had started out so well and it had turned on me like a moody mare in season.

There will have to be a whole bag of un-tampered apples provided before she sets a saddle on me again! Better still, a bunch of grapes. There's not much you can hide in a grape. I love grapes. Send me a bunch! I could do with cheering up.
