Who am I?

I am a 14 2 Gypsy Gelding and I've moved from the Scottish stud farm to live in Fermangh (Northern Ireland) with some new animal friends.

We are all cared for by some Two-legs. These are the people we love and who love us back...with hay and apples...and carrots...and grapes...and mints!

WHEN'S AN APPLE NOT JUST AN APPLE?

When it is laced with worming drugs!

I don't know if I will ever trust Two-legs again. When she turned up at my gate this morning I was quite pleased to see her. I had just commandeered the donkey's shelter, to keep the Irish weather off my back, as today is a lot like out-of-date sugar-beet: Soggy, sour and not at all sweet! I was day-dreaming about the lovely afternoon Two-legs and I spent down at the lough shore last week, when the weather was a bit more suited to Green Grass (Summer).

It had been pleasantly warm that day and the water was cool and the fish inviting. I was up to my hocks in small fry while I splashed away at them pretending I was “Poe” fending off minuscule sharks. I'm quite a fan of Poe, who's a charming Clydesdale from across the water. The crows told me all about him. The Clydesdale is 2 inches bigger than the horse from Texas who's currently listed in the Guinness Book of Records and  he dwarfs his owner's 5foot 3inch frame. The only hope I have of dwarfing my Two-legs is in width - not height. He lives on Miss Thompson’s farm in Tupperville, Ontario, in Canada.

Go and ask any crow to find out more about him and if you can't talk to a crow then go google....One thing I will tell you is that Poe is 10ft tall with his head held high. He needs two bales of hay a day, 10lb of grain and 75 gallons of water. I bet you're glad you don't have to clean out his stable! HA! I've forgotten to tell you about the apple! Ah well, sure I will tell you about it tomorrow.. x
